Sucker Rod products
Sucker rods and couplings are manufactured in accordance with API 11B.
JT-PETRO can supply sucker rods as follows:
Grade: C, D, K, KD, H;
Size (in,): 5/8˝ (16 mm), 3/4˝ (19 mm),
7/8˝ (22 mm) , 1˝ (25 mm), 1-1/8˝ (28 mm)
The pony sucker rods and conventional/slim hole couplings with various sizes are available as well.
JT-PETRO can also provide conventional API sucker rods, corrosion resistant sucker rods, FRP (fiber glass reinforced plastic) sucker rods, polished sucker rods and couplings, special sucker rods for progressive cavity pumps, hollow sucker rods and electric heating systems.

API Conventional Sucker Rod
Our conventional sucker rods are API monogrammed.
Grade C sucker rod: Moderate strength, not susceptible to sulfide stress cracking, suitable in sour medium.
Grade D sucker rod: Made of quality heat treated steel alloy, with high tensile and yield strength; suitable for non-corroding or mildly corroding environment.
Grade K, KD sucker rod: With good corrosion resistance in H2S, CO2 and NaCl media, superior tensile strength.
Grade HL and HY sucker rod: High strength; structure and size matching with grade D sucker rod; withstanding 966-1, 136 MPa (140, 000-164, 720 psi); suitable for deep and large displacement wells

Special Structure Sucker Rod
The rod connectors are welded on the sucker rod body by friction welding. Mechanical properties and sizes of all parts of solid sucker rod conform to API 11B.

Polished Rod
Three types of polished rods are available: conventional grade D polished rod, one end diameter enlarged polished rod and high-strength, long stroke, corrosion resistant polished rod. All the polished rods are made of quality alloy steel and machined by using the advanced machining technology with high strength, smooth surface and long service life. All types of the polished rods are API and ISO9002 certified. The tensile strength exceeds
1, 000 MPa (145, 000psi).

High Strength Long Stroke Corrosion Resistant Polished Rod
The polished rod is made of 20CrMo alloy steel and heat treated by quenching and tempering. Its surface is hardened with induction heating. The rod surface is coated with nickel-based alloy (Ni35) to make the rod body not to scale off and crack, and obtain high resistance to corrosion and wear. The product is used for pumping crude oil in deep wells, large displacement wells, heavy oil wells and high corrosion wells.

Hollow Sucker Rod
The hollow sucker rod is manufactured in accordance with China national standard: SY/T5550-1998 Hollow Sucker Rod (see below table). The rod is used to:
- Inject thermal media (e.g. hot oil. water and chemicals) to reduce its viscosity and remove paraffin
- Insert the cable and run down through the hole of the hollow sucker rod to enable the cable and the rod body to built up an electric circuit
- Heat the crude oil above and bellow the pump during the whole process to reduce the oil viscosity and remove the paraffin of the crude oil

Special Purpose Hollow Sucker Rod for PC Pump
The special purpose hollow sucker rod for progressive cavity (PC) pump has the features of large torque bearing capacity of hollow sucker rod to drive PC pump. Compared with the solid sucker rod with the same weight, the torque bearing capacity of the hollow sucker rod is three times larger than that of the solid sucker rod. The large capacity PC pump is usually fitted with the special purpose hollow sucker rod.
The following sizes are available: Ф 34 mm, Ф 36 mm and Ф 38 mm (see above table). The Max allowable torque is 3, 200 Nm (2, 360 lb.ft) and 3, 800 Nm (2, 800 lb.ft).
